Final packing day.  Bike is ready to go.  Heading to the Canadian border tomorrow to get started.

Day 10  Gold Beach, OR to Crescent City, CA Daily Miles - 55.2 Cumulative Miles - 746.4 Average Speed - 11.0 MPH Max Speed -  32.9 MPH Ride Time -  4 Hours 59 Minutes Short day of riding today.  I got a later start due to the long ride yesterday.  The worst part about this morning was it took me about ten miles to find a good seat position.  I could not get comfortable and had to take several breaks.  It happens! Day 8 Newport, OR to Reedsport, OR Daily Miles - 72.2 Cumulative Miles - 580.9 Average Speed - 11.7 MPH Max Speed -  31.1 MPH Ride Time -  6 Hours 7 Minutes Great resting time after the marathon.  I got up this morning and had a nice breakfast before packing up to head out.  Going over the bridge leaving Newport, I took a photo of the Yaquina inlet.  These views are fantastic. There we so many awesome views along the coastline today.  Here are some of the better pictures that I took.  I could have gotten carried away stopping, but I have to stay somewhat focused on getting on with the ride. I missed the right timing at this location. When the tide is higher, the water comes up through here and blows up in the air.   As I was riding along, I heard a lot of noises that sounded like seals.  I pulled over to check it out and found all of them down below.  It is amazing that I am able to keep riding given...

I stopped in Hermosa Beach to visit neighbors that I used to live across the street from - Karl and Maxine.  We spent talking about the bike ride and catching up since the last time we were together.
