I was on my way.  I rode through several beac...

You can also see that I have gotten quite a tan over the last few weeks.  I was dropped off right down the street from where my grandmother lives.  I discussed the route to take that would get me back down to the coast.  I h...

I stopped in Hermosa Beach to visit neighbors that I used to live across the street from - Karl and Maxine.  We spent talking about the bike ride and catching up since the last time we were together. Next, I headed over to Redondo Beach to visit with the parents of my best friend Kasey from way back in middle and high school.  Only his mother Toni was there since his dad Tim was out on his own bike ride for the day.  I am not the only one that goes on long bike rides!  Since this was a surprise visit, I was not expecting them to b...

Some pictures as I was rolling down Pacific Coast Highway.  The sun did not shine much at all today, but even on an overcast day, the ocean is still great to look at. Just past Ventura, I remembered I was close to a family member - Michelle - that I hadn't seen in many years....

When you see the hills like this on both sides, you know that there is a pass that you have to go through to get over the hills.  This just happened to be an 18 mile climb.  It was not a huge incline thank goodness.  It was just long and steady.  I was rewarded with a 2 mile downhill with a 7% grade. While on this pass, I think I started to get a little grouchy.  I was tal...

As I was riding through the main street of Pismo Beach, I got a whiff of cinnamon.  I turned around to see what it was.  There was a cinnamon roll bakery named Old West Cinnamon...
